Two Cocktails: Margarita & Bellini

As soon as I was sober again, I wrote down the result of the “best practices” and then had to share them with you, even though I did not have Margarita glass and had to use Martini glass instead! Let’s get started with Margarita and let’s start from scratch, pretending you don’t know what each cocktail is made of.
For Margarita, you need: The Mexican spirit Tequila, Triplesec (or Quattro) and fresh lime juice, salt, ice and cocktail shaker. Drinks Mixer’s recipe for Margarita is great (Check it out, it demonstrates all the steps). It’s got at least two good tips: The first one is the ratio it suggests: 3-2-1 for Tequila, Triplesec, and lime juice respectively: So, let’s say you have one oz. of tequila. You therefore add 2/3 of Triplesec and 1/3 of lime juice to it, before shaking it with ice incocktail shaker. The balance is perfect!

Shish-tauk sandwich & Lebanese music, Montreal-homemade style!

We in Montreal, though, would claim an exclusive right over this dish, as it is prepared in a specific ways by Lebanese chain fast food restaurants, most notably Amir Restaurant. I have been to Amir and taken out its sandwich and plate shish-tauk dishes often enough to come up with my own recipes for this easy and delicious sandwich!

Most important of all, when it comes to following a vegi recipe or inventing your own, sky is the limit! Having said that, there are certain “rules” I always follow to in order to come up with a delicious AND pretty looking vegetable-based dish.
Use at least one type of grains to supplement meat/protean.- Use potatoes or one type of pasta to make the dish thick and filling
- Consider the cooking time of the vegetables being used and add each one to the main pot appropriatly. Mixing everything together at the same time will certainly destroy the look of the dish
